Flamin’ galahs Win’s TV Week Logie

The annual TV Week Logie Awards have come around for another year, to celebrate the television industry and star successes for its 52nd year. APL Photography captured the coveted red carpet arrivals at Crown Casino, with the celebrities styled in fashionable designer frocks and suave suits.

After 22 years staring on Seven’s Home And Away, Ray Meagher won the Gold Logie at his first nomination. Flamin’ galahs aside, APL captured the actor on the red carpet before receiving the coveted award, donning a black suit, complete with a bowtie.

This year the guys kept it safe and simple, and most adhered to the dress code ‘Melbourne black’, sticking to the traditionally tailored black suit, complete with a white shirt, and either bowtie or black skinny tie.

For the female fashions, floor-length gowns were a popular choice with plunging necklines and one-shouldered finishes, with strong silhouettes contouring the stylish beauties wearing them. Strapless minis also made their appearance on the red carpet, with legs being the look of the season.

Packed To The Rafters starlet, Jessica Marais, is set to top everyone’s best dressed list from the night, in a stunning J’Aton black lace, strapless; with Rebecca Twigley also making the list, epitomizing glamour in a one-shouldered midnight blue, embellished gown. Ruby Rose looked amazing in Maticevski, while Erin McNaught who was dressed in Bowie, raised a few eyebrows, as did Claudia Karvan’s red-carpet choice.

From the kitchen to the red carpet, the Masterchef culinary celebrities debuted at the event and took home the award for the most popular reality TV program.

Margot Robbie, Megan Gale, and Vince Colosimo were also amongst the many celebrities snapped up by APL, along with Rove McManus and Tasma Walton, and Bert Newton’s family, snapped without the host.

After last year’s successful dress of choice, I expected more from Jennifer Hawkins this year, however the runway beauty toned it down in a simple long-sleeve mini. Gossip guru Richard Reid donned ‘man-heels’ while Brynne Edelsten has been receiving mixed reviews for the shocktastic Wonderland-inspired, red outfit.

Johnny Galecki, most recently known for his role as Leonard on the hit show Big Bang Theory swapped science for style, with APL capturing the suited-up star, adding another international face to his growing portfolio.
