Isabel Lucas Liking the APL Camera
APL Photography has had a strong week of celebrity snapping, capturing local and international famous faces.
Members of the Australian film industry walked the red carpet at Regent Theatre last week, opening the 2010 Melbourne International Film Festival. Guests included Josh Lawson, Jodi Gordon, Adam Elliot and Blair McDonough, who were amongst the talent snapped up by Anthony Licuria.
Former Home and Away beauty and Transformers star, Isabel Lucas, was captured by APL, with the screening of her film, The Wedding Party, kick-starting the MIFF.
Lucas’ ex-boyfriend and Entourage eye-candy, Adrian Grenier, was also captured by APL Photography, adding a new face and name to the snap list of celebrities. Grenier is in Melbourne promoting his film, Teenage Paparazzo. The film is a documentary, which explores the relationship between celebrities and society, revealing a fascinating insight into the world of the paparazzi.
Settling in to the rest of the year; looking forward to APL’s first birthday and COVET’s launch party in August, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, and the racing carnival season ahead, we’re sure that our snap-happy pap will continue to capture fashion and fame in the months to come.

Ashton Kutcher Gets Snapped by APL
From Dude, Where’s My Car? to being stuck in the 70s, along with dating the world’s hottest cougar, Ashton Kutcher is a celebrity in demand. The Hollywood hunk was recently snapped up by APL Photography, adding this lust-worthy celebrity to APL’s snap list of famous faces.
The international star was captured alongside acclaimed Australian director, Robert Luketic, on the red carpet of Melbourne’s premiere of their new action-packed, adrenalin-fuelled comedy, Killers.
Robert Luketic is known for his silver-screen winners Legally Blonde, 21, The Ugly Truth and Monster-in-Law, with Killers being his first film to star Ashton Kutcher.
Kutcher, who is an obsessive tweeter and tweeted his way through interviews while in Melbourne, stars alongside Katherine Heigl, creating a romantic storyline underlined by an international super-spy past. Killers opens nationally on July 29.

Megan Gale @ Inception
Since velvet is making a comeback, I guess that means anything can. Something tells me that vampires may be going out of vogue, and sci-fi is the new season trend, with Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ following an auctioneer that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams.
The film has attracted an international cast with Academy Award nominee Leonardo DiCaprio, two-time Oscar winner Michael Caine, and Oscar winner Marion Cotillard.
Melbourne’s film and entertainment industry celebrated the Melbourne Premiere of Inception, with APL Photography capturing the celebrity arrivals at the Jam Factory on Friday night.
Anthony captured beauty Megan Gale with her beau Andy Lee, as well as Sam Newman and comedian Chris Lilly. Paul O’Brien and Jo Stanley were also captured by our photographer, as were Callan Mulvey and Rodger Corser, who were amongst the crowd of industry figures.
Inception releases in Australian cinemas on the 22nd of July 2010.

Di Niro snapped by APL
Hollywood heavyweight Robert De Niro is in town, and has kept a relatively low profile while filming his latest big budget blockbuster, The Killer Elite.
The Oscar award-winning legendary actor made his one and only official media appearance on Sunday at Melbourne’s Nobu in Crown, which the actor co-owns.
The Media conference involved a Q&A session with De Niro, who has opened over 20 Nobu restaurants worldwide, since first partnering with Nobu Matsuhisa in 1994. APL Photography captured the American actor, director and producer, adding another famous face to the APL folio.

Elena aka Nina Talks to fans about her love for Vampires
Blood and fangs have never been so popular, with vampires being the hottest trend in vogue right now. But move over Twilight, because the Vampire Diaries are giving viewers their weekly fix of blood-sucking romance and drama.
Heading into its second season, the Vampire Diaries came down under for a vampire exhibition held at Melbourne University. Finally taking a break, Anthony took some time away from snapping, and had breakfast with the vampire cast. Amongst Weet-Bix and coffee, our photographer who is a huge fan of the show, was able to have an intimate Q&A session with Nina Dobrev (Elena), Paul Wesley (Stefan) and Ian Somerhalder (Damon), before the forum was open to the public.
Once breakfast was done, APL got out his lens and snapped up the cast, while the public asked them about the show. With the actors revealing a few spoilers for the coming season, fans were delighted to hear what was soon to come. The audience also had the chance to learn about the actors personally, away from their fictional characters.
From breakfast, to new snaps for his folio, Anthony, who celebrates his birthday today, looks like he has another successful year ahead, full of many photo opportunities. Happy birthday Anthony!

APL Gets Pamela Anderson
Anthony Licuria continues to snap up international Melbourne guests, capturing Pamela Anderson on Saturday night at Melbourne’s Silk Road, adding another name to the APL Photography folio of well-known faces.
While known for her enhanced assets, relationship with Tommy Lee and Playboy Playmate days, this Baywatch babe has added dancing to her list of things she’s done. Pamela, who appeared as a US contestant on Dancing With The Stars earlier this year, flew down to Melbourne with her two sons and Australian dance partner Damian Whitewood.
The dancing duo who were on another sort of dance floor, were captured by APL Photography the night before their special guest appearance on Sunday’s season opening of Seven’s Dancing with the Stars, returning for it’s 10th season.

Nena Pasadena - Snapped By APL
The newest street fashion label to join the group of Melbourne cult fashion tees launched last night, attracting a much-anticipated crowd to the new kids on the block. Nena & Pasadena, a collaboration of men’s fashion label Kiss Chacey and Sushi Radio, along with Hawthorn Footballer Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, released their debuting collection, ‘Invasion’, with the high quality, distinctively designed styles, providing to be a solid competition to other T-shirt companies on the market.
APL Photography snapped up the celebrated launch, capturing Buddy Franklin and his girlfriend Kasia Z. Buddy described the new range as “stylish, new and catchy”, with the label supporting the local fashion industry, as it is designed, sewn and stitched in Melbourne. APL also captured Rhys Uhlich, who sported one of the label’s designs, as well as Shane Crawford, Brodie Young and Paul Edwards, amongst football players and other Melbourne socialites.
The label is stocked Nationwide in selected boutiques and major outlets, providing fresh and accessible fashion on the t-shirt front.

COVET MAGAZINE ISSUE 2
We’ve kept you waiting long enough, and now, the second instalment of COVET magazine is finally live! With more fashion, more interviews, and more photos from APL Photography, we’ve produced another edition of everything you should crave. desire. indulge.
This edition, COVET interviewed Perth fashion designer Timothy Godbold, explored Flavia’s Global Adventures and recreated the Gaga trend. Focusing on couture, our Coveting Couture spread, adorned with lashes of coutured gowns and set against the backdrop of the Windsor hotel, will leave you desiring that this trend makes a return.
We have had an amazing group of contributors helping put the articles together for your pleasure – so thank you to everyone who made this second edition possible.

APL SNAPS THE TWILIGHT STARS IN SYDNEY
Many of you have often asked Anthony if he ever sleeps, with all the events he attends and celebrities he captures, all the photos he edits and all the work he has put into COVET magazine, there really aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done, unless you’re a vampire that is.
APL Photography has been under the spell brought on by the full moon, and travelled to Sydney to capture Twilight stars Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) and Taylor Lautner (werewolf Jacob Black), with our photographer captivated by the blood-sucking phenomenon that is Twilight.
The pair are currently touring Sydney to promote the latest film in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, with a Q&A session with fans held at Luna Park. Anthony snapped up the stars for another addition to his portfolio, capturing the pale beauty of Bella and the werewolf for all Team Jacob fans, but to the dismay of many fans, vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) didn’t make it down under.
You can sink your teeth into Eclipse on July 1 when the movie will be released in Australia. Until then, the next time APL snaps you out and about, just be careful, otherwise he might just bite your neck.
