It’s Melbourne, It’s Big, It’s what everyone had on the mind – It’s Fashion Week and when things are big APL Photography is always there to make it better!
On the very last evening of winter we bid farewell to the darkness, layers, miserable, cold, wet and weary months. The eve of Spring brought us the annual, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. Fashionistas came out to play and welcomed in the first of four designer series shows. From the moment we walked into Melbourne Town Hall we knew that the week ahead would be full-on fashion fun! APL never missed the chance to snap the best of the best!
We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off Spring Fashion Week…Ansdorf took to the runway first and did not disappoint. APL was ready to snap straight away and was more than impressed with the eccentric prints in your favourite pinks, browns and creams. Ansdorf is known for their classic tailoring and structure in designs and this year they certainly lived up to their reputation providing ladies with amazing tailored pants that can be paired with a thin wasted belt and pastel pink shirt.
Following on from Ansdorf we snapped great things from Dhini, Flannel, Gary Bigeni, Kuwaii, MATERIALBYPRODUCT, Alice Euphemia and our two favourites; Alistair Trung and Therese Rawsthorne.
Alistair Trung captured our hearts at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival earlier this year and lived up to their growing reputation by giving us primitive, imaginative neckpieces and wrist work. Accessories were a big part of their new range and upstaged their clothes – every piece was to die for!
Renowned fashion queen, Therese Rawsthorne close the show and sent out cameras into overdrive! The latest collection featured bold colours, daring dresses and interesting choices of fabrics. APL couldn’t believe their eyes when a model graced the runway in a Pink Suede maxi dress, believe it or not – it looked amazing. Sundresses, leggings, sheer and leather followed on and each outfit allowed all to fall in love with this years spring fashion.
So from one night of fashion whats big this spring? Sharp and Chic, Nudes and Pastels and maxi dresses are set to be the hottest thing this season.
